Water / Wastewater

With a growing population, more frequent droughts, stricter drinking water standards and fewer sources of new water supplies, it is becoming increasingly difficult to meet present and projected demands for high-quality, reliable drinking water. With the additional need to minimize contamination of our rivers, lakes and streams from industrial and municipal wastewater discharges, the public is faced with numerous complex challenges in the management of its water resources.

SCS is actively engaged on a day-to-day basis in addressing these challenges on behalf of our public and private sector water, wastewater and water quality clients. We offer a full range of planning, design, design/build and program and program/construction management services across the water and wastewater industry, including water supply, water storage and transmission, water quality, water treatment and distribution, and wastewater collection, treatment and disposal.

SCS provides a breadth of resources in the highly varied water industry. In addition to strong water and wastewater treatment capabilities, we offer specialty expertise in stormwater and watershed management, flood control, water quality monitoring, and assistance in environmental planning and permitting. We provide pipeline and pumping plant design and management, and ground water desalination. SCS also has a strong reputation for providing design and program/construction management services on dam and reservoir, tunneling and micro-tunneling projects.
